PARIS, Sep. 24 (MNA) – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to stop incidents and warned on the chaos and risks of the Intifada (uprising) they do not wish to happen.

An Israeli military attack was carried out against the Esplanade of the Mosques in Jerusalem last September 13, in which 110 Palestinians were injured.

In a joint declaration after a meeting with French President Francois Hollande on Tuesday, Abbas warned that what is happening is extremely risky and the situation will worsen if that type of incidents continue.

For his part, Holllande called for calm and respect toward principles.

Paris has been defending for months the creation of a supporting group to the organization of a peace effort between the two parties in conflict.

Abbas was decorated in this capital with the Grand Vermeil medal, which was granted by the mayor of the so-called Light City, Anne Hidalgo, as recognition of his work for peace.

The Palestinian president left France for Moscow to hold a meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
