Iranian Minister of Education Ali-Asghar Fani received his Italian counterpart Stefania Giannini on Monday in his office in Tehran. During the meeting the two officials inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Educational cooperation.
According to the MoU, the two countries will cooperate on new educational technologies, pre-school education, and vocational training programs between 2015 and 2018.
Also the two nations agreed that Iranian Shahid Bahonar School in Italian capital city of Rome and Italian Pietro Della Valle School in Tehran run joint programs.
During the meeting, Iranian minister affirmed that the two countries can share their educational experience and benefit each other’s achievements.
"I hope we exchange expert delegations afterward, to enhance the status of education and to develop science and technology in both countries," said Ali-Asghar Fani.
Pointing to political ties between the two nations in realm of diplomacy, the Iranian official voiced hope to enjoy the same ties in educational technology. "We share a lot of goals with Italians like developing educational justice, improving educational quality, and empowering our human resources," Fani highlighted.
The Italian official, for her part, expressed satisfaction with commonalities in goals of the education systems of both countries.
