TEHRAN, Sep. 21 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif appointed Mohammad Hassan Habibollahzadeh as Iran’s charge d’affaires to Britain.

Habibollahzadeh was Iran's former non-resident chargés d'affaires to Britain and Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the International Maritime Organization.

British Embassy in Tehran was reopened on August 23 in the presence of the Britain’s Secretary of State Philip Hammond.

Along with the reopening of the British Embassy, the Iranian Embassy in London was also reopened in the presence of Iran’s Deputy FM for Administrative and Financial Affairs Mehdi Danesh-Yazdi.

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for European and American Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi said that Iran would not seek promoting the diplomatic relations with the Britain, and current relations would be limited to charge d'affaires level.
