TEHRAN, Sep. 21 (MNA) – Iran and Poland will collaborate on archeology, historical linguistics, architecture, maintenance and repairing artifacts as well as anthropology.

Research Center of Iran Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization and the Polish University of Rzeszów will cooperate under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which was signed by head of ICHTO research center Ahmad Beheshti and university chancellor Alexander Babkov.

Based on this MoU, the two sides have agreed to run bilateral cooperation in the fields of archeology including underwater archeology, historical linguistics, classical and modern Persian manuscripts, preservation and restoration of historical objects, architectural history, anthropology, natural heritage, ecotourism and tourism, traditional arts and numismatics.

The desired activities in these fields include exchange of researchers or students in long-term or short-term projects, research collaboration and holding joint conferences, symposium, or workshops.

According to the MoU, assigned representatives from the two sides will investigate the results of annual activities and make decisions about upcoming projects for the following year.

Containing seven articles, the cultural agreement will be in force for five years and it can be extended for another five years, unless each of the parties calls for its termination six months in advance.
