Ali Larijani made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Dutch Foreign Minister Bert Koenders on Sunday evening.
Pointing to the long track record of friendly relations between Iran and the Netherlands, Larijani said the good track record of cooperation between the two countries have paved the way for suitable grounds for the expansion of political, economic, cultural and parliamentary ties.
Underlining the importance of exchanging views and continued consultations between Iran and the European Union on different regional and international issues, Larijani said the resolution of the existing challenges and crises of the region and the world needs international determination of all countries.
He added that Iran has always reiterated the need for holding talks and a political solution to the regional crises.
The Dutch foreign minister, for his part, pointed to 400-years of relations between the Netherlands and Iran, and said the nuclear agreement opened new horizons for the two sides in different political, economic and cultural areas.
