The fourth round of the 29th season of Iran’s Hazfi Cup started on Saturday with two fixtures in Tehran and Shiraz.
In Iranian southern city of Shiraz, Kara hosted the golden giants of Isfahan and stood up to their reputation as awe-makers who knocked a premier division club in the 16th-final.
Although the hosts lost the first half 2-0, but they returned to the game by compensating one of the goals at the 53th minute.
The 2nd-division club did not manage to equalize the event and at the 91th minute conceded to the third goal and let the Isfahanis to leave Shiraz with victory.
In the other event of the day, Rah Ahan of Tehran hosted Esteghlal of Khuzestan in Shahr-e-Quds stadium.
The hosts edge passed Esteghlal of Khuzestan with a listless victory to line up against Sepahan in the quarter-final round of Iran’s Hazfi Cup.
