Members of NAM Coordinating Bureau, headed by Iran's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Gholamali Khoshroo, discussed latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories during a monthly meeting at the UN headquarters in New York.
The Coordinating Bureau passed a statement expressing deep concern over Israel's illegal acts and policies which is a serious threat against international peace and security. The members of NAM called for the international community especially the Security Council to act out their duties in connection with the aggressive behavior of the invaders.
In the meeting presided by Iran, as the NAM chair, Gholamali Khoshroo along with representatives from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League met with the General Secretary of the UN, Ban Ki-moon to elaborate on the crimes by Zionist regime against Palestinian civilians. They called on the UN to take immediate measures to stop Israel’s acts of aggression.
After meeting the Secretary General, representatives of the NAM and OIC held a meeting with the President of the Security Council Vitaly Churkin and intend to visit the president of the UN General Assembly Sam Kutesa.
