BUDAPEST, Sep. 11 (MNA) – The Hungarian Government sent today 3,800 military men to tighten security in its southern border and construction there of a fence to stop the wave of immigrants that has turned into chaos in this country.

The soldiers sent to the border with Serbia will have to finish at least 10 kilometers per day of a four-meter-high metallic fence with a wire fence on top, Defense Minister Istvan Simiesko told media.

The presence of Army members at the border with Serbia has been known few days before a package of laws that criminalizes immigration, with sentences of up to three years of imprisonment for illegal border crossing.

Just yesterday, Hungarian authorities intercepted 3,601 undocumented people, mostly Syrians, Iraqis and Afghans, who crossed Greece, Macedonia and Serbia to reach this European Union member country.
