VIENNA, Sep. 11 (MNA) – Iran’s envoy to IAEA warned the Atomic Agency against disclosing the confidential data to the US Senate.

On Thursday, Reza Najafi, the Iranian Ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), called for change of approach toward Iran’s peaceful nuclear program undertaken by UN Security Council and IAEA’s Board of Governors.

Speaking on the sidelines of the IAEA's 35-nation governing board, Iran's envoy reiterated that the JCPOA has been signed on the basis of reciprocal commitments including annulling of previous UNSC anti-Iran resolutions, and removal of all sanctions whether unilateral or multilateral.

Najafi called the former resolutions politically motivated and unjustifiable affirming that the IAEA and UNSC cannot be helpful about the Vienna agreement unless they fix their malicious approach toward Iran.

The Iranian official reiterated that the confidential texts between Iran and the IAEA have not even been provided to the US government and can certainly not be given to the Senate either.

Najafi stressed that disclosing Iran’s confidential data would have serious repercussions for the doers.
