On the occasion of World Tourism Day which is on September 27 each year, Tehran will be hosting a two-day international conference in the International Conference Center of Milad Tower on 28 September and at the Management and Accounting Faculty of Allameh Tabatabai University on 29 September, 2015.
Speakers of the conference include Dr. David Weaver and Dr. Ralf Buckley of Griffith University in Australia, Dr. Syamsuddin Aref of University of Malaysia, as well as Dr. Jafar Jafari Professor of Hospitality and Tourism at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, Department of Hospitality and Tourism in the US and the foudning editor of the social sciences journal 'Annals of Tourism Research'.
The main topics of the conference include Tourism, Strengthening National Identity and Ensuring Regional Peace; Tourism and Fostering Environmental Protection; Tourism, Promoting Economic Resilience and Post-Sanctions Opportunities; Tourism and Urban Economy Diversification; and Tourism and the Development of Accommodation and Tour-Operating Services.
