TEHRAN, Sep. 07 (MNA) – Vice President and Head of the Department of Environment Masoumeh Ebtekar departed for the French capital on Monday to attend the ministerial meeting on climate change in Paris.

Iran's presence in the meeting is based on an official invitation of the French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius which is being held prior to 2015 Paris Climate Conference which is due on November 30 until December 11.

The meeting on climate change is being held on September 6-7 with participation of 60 delegations from different world countries who have attended at the level of minister.

Iran is attending the conference on behalf of the regional countries.

On the sidelines of the Paris conference, Ebtekar is due to meet with a number of participating ministers as well as the French foreign minister.
