KABUL, Sep. 03 (MNA) – Iran's Interior Minister Rahmani-Fazli, who is in Kabul to attend the 6th summit of Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA), said that the fields of Iran-Afghanistan cooperation will be studied during his trip.

Talking to the reporters, this morning in Kabul’s airport, Rahmani-Fazli said “Besides participating in the Academic Forum of the Sixth Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA-VI), meetings will be held with Afghanistan’s president and the chief executive officer of national unity government as well as some other Afghan ministers in order to evaluate the fields of cooperation.”

The Iranian official was welcomed in Kabul’s airport by Afghanistan's Refugees and Repatriation Minister Syed Hussain Alemi Balkhi and Iranian Ambassador to Afghanistan Mohammad Reza Bahrami.

Kabul is hosting RECCA-VI- September 3-4. which will feature presentations on Afghanistan's energy security, trade, and regional connectivity, in addition to roundtable discussions on the greatest challenges and opportunities facing Afghanistan today.

Officials of 30 countries and representatives of 40 international organizations will take part in the summit where major projects concerning to the economic growth of Afghanistan and the region would be discussed.

Iran's Interior Minister will also deliver a speech during the session.

During his two-day visit, Rahmani-Fazli will hold meetings with Afghanistan's President Ashraf Ghani, Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah, the country's National Security Adviser Hanif Atmar, Finance Minister Eklil Hakimi, Refugees and Repatriation Minister Syed Hussain Alemi Balkhi as well as Salamat Azimi, Afghan Minister of Counter Narcotics.
