TEHRAN, Sep. 02 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Tuesday that nuclear talks proved that respect is a prerequisite to advance diplomacy.

Speaking to Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal on Tuesday, Zarif said nuclear negotiations are not a threat to any country but a pleasing opportunity for diplomacy in the region.

"Nuclear talks proved that nobody can talk in the language of threat with the independent and developing countries, rather they should show respect to advance diplomacy," Zarif said.

He also announced readiness for talks with the regional countries and settlement of their problems, underlining that dialogue is among important pivots of diplomatic efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Noting that mutual ties deserve taking more giant strides, Zarif hoped that Iran-Algeria joint economic cooperation commission will have more results in that connection.

Pointing to the resistance economy, Zarif said it is taken into consideration in the macro planning and that on this basis, relations with allies is of high importance.

Sellal, for his part, congratulated Iranian nation and government on the nuclear deal and said the country has taken effective measures in nuclear talks.

Pointing to very good relations between Iran and Algeria, Sellal said Algeria is determined to take more giant steps in the new atmosphere created by nuclear talks, to enhance bilateral relations.

He said all regional countries should move to settle problems through wisdom and prudence.

He urged providing new economic grounds for cooperation between Iran and Algeria.
