Babak Dinparast, the head of Information and International Affairs Department in the Interior Ministry said Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli will participate in the Academic Forum of the Sixth Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA-VI) which will take place on September 3-4 in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Rahmani Fazli as the head of Iran-Afghanistan Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation will depart for the Afghan capital at the end of this week. On the sidelines of the summit, the Iranian minister will hold talks with senior Afghan officials on the expansion and promotion of bilateral cooperation.
“Tehran and Kabul have on agenda the development of a bilateral comprehensive document on improving bilateral cooperation,” said Dinparast, also noting that the 5th session of the two countries’ joint economic commission will be held on November 10 in Tehran.
The 6th summit of Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA) will feature presentations on Afghanistan's energy security, trade, and regional connectivity, in addition to roundtable discussions on the greatest challenges and opportunities facing Afghanistan today.
According to Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, around 70 countries and organizations have been invited to take part in the summit where major projects concerning to the economic growth of Afghanistan and the region would be discussed.
