“In the first five months of the current year, an average of 230 million cubic meters of natural gas has been produced,” said Salbali Karimi commenting on the current status of oil and gas production in the central parts of Iran.
Announcing that our daily gas production in the central areas of the country is four million cubic meters more than what had been speculated by the National Oil Company, he asserted that, “in the meantime, owning 13 drilling rigs, we have accomplished the drilling and repairing of 10 wells which indicates a great improvement over the same period last year in terms of waiting time.”
The official stated that next year the daily production of oil in the central parts of Iran will sum to 200 thousand barrels underlining the ongoing efforts towards the examination and removal of obstacles on the exploitation of oil and gas in the west of the country.
Pointing to the removal of oil sanctions, Karimi concluded that, “considering the conditions of the post-sanction era we should move towards implementation of up-to-date knowledge and technology such that incorporating indigenous facilities and employee involvement becomes a part of the infrastructure for development.”
