The Iranian publishing center will be attending the book fair showcasing 377 book titles in Iran’s pavilion for children and young adults in the field of fiction. The center also plans to distribute catalogues, present an English summary of the displayed books, offer postcards and bookmarks of fictional characters.
Shabaviz has so far bagged several international awards including Bologna New Horizons Mention, Da Vinci Diamond Award and Belgrade Fair’s Honor diploma.
The center’s books have also won several international awards; Grand Prix, Golden Apple and BIB Plaque winners, Belgrade's Grand Prix, International Golden Pen and Golden Pen winners, CJ and Noma prize.
Moscow International Book Fair (MIBF) was established in 1977 and is an official member of the International Organization of Book Publishers.
The annual exhibition provides both readers and industry professionals with the opportunity to be introduced to the latest literature news and meet many writers.
The event is also a powerful marketing for the book industry, as the fair participants study vital tendencies of the publishing market, strengthen contacts and develop new ones with Russian and international companies and sign contracts.
Last year, publishers from 63 countries participated in this exhibition and Iran put more than 500 book titles on show, including the third and fourth volumes of a well-known Iranian book Good Tales for Good Children by Mahdi Azar Yazdi translated into Russian were showcased, along with Divan of Omar Khayyam presented in five languages and a Russian version of Muslims Knowledge written by Mohammad Reza Hakimi.
The 2015 edition of the fair is scheduled to be inaugurated on September 2 and four days after the opening of the event it will be concluded on September 6.
