Iranian Deputy Minister of Industries, Mines and Trade Mojtaba Khosrowtaj met with British Treasury Minister Damian Hinds and the accompanying delegation on Monday.
After meeting the British delegation, Khosrowtaj told the reporters about the new agreements reached between Iran and the UK to broaden the ties in realms of technology, investment, and joint projects.
Highlighting the British history in insurance services and banking industry, he called the reactivation of these sectors a presupposition needed to be met before developing the relationship between the two states.
The Iranian official referred to Iran’s ranking in the index of Organization for Economic Co‑operation and Development (OECD) and urged the European countries to change the status after the removal of sanctions.
He also went through the realms of cooperation starting with energy sector saying that as usual Iran’s energy sector has always been a competitive arena for foreigners.
The Deputy Minister of Industries, Mines and Trade affirmed that Iran has changed importing policies and it seeks cooperation in technical science interaction and investment.
