The international gathering will be held with the cooperation of Astan Quds Razavi, Razavi Hospital, Shefa Neuroscience Research Center and the Munster University of Germany and it will be attended by Professor Ali Gorji and Professor Christopher Heinz Kling House from Munster University, Germany.
Stressing the importance of holding epilepsy symposium in Razavi hospital, a neurology specialist stated that, “considering the prevalence of epilepsy and the current number of people afflicted, and also to provide a standard level of health care to these patients, it is essential to hold similar meetings frequently and on a regular basis.”
“We need to receive the knowledge and experience of foreign specialists in the field of epilepsy surgery so that over time we can localize this kind of surgery in the country,” he added.
Expressing that the latest achievements of Razavi Epilepsy Center will be presented to this symposium, the neurologist stated that, “in order to provide a better presentation of the contents at this conference, we have planned to deal with several medical cases and to discuss the outcomes; accordingly, patients who are resistant to treatment will be visited by an Iranian-German team of epilepsy specialists from Aug. 23-27.”
