In a meeting with Ecuador's Minister for Public Health Carina Vance, Sayyed Amir Mohsen Ziaei pointed to the expansion of cooperation between IRCS and Ecuador’s Red Cross and said that, “launching hemodialysis unit in Ecuador, holding short training courses for doctors and specialists in Iran, instructing rehabilitation of disabled people, exchanging experiences in the field of orthotics and prosthetics by Iranian professors and the possibility of producing high-quality medicines in Iran, are among the areas of increased cooperation between IRCS and Ecuador's Red Cross."
Head of Iranian Red Crescent Society also suggested that in order to follow up the outcome of the negotiations, a group composed of representatives of Health Ministry and representatives from the Red Crescent in coordination with the Iranian embassy in Quito would hold consecutive meetings on this issue.
Carina Vance also stated that proper cooperation is needed to provide more assistance and facilitate delivery of relief aid to the people in need.
In meeting with head of Ecuador’s Red Cross, Ziaei asserted that, “we are proud to provide humanitarian services regardless of race, color, border and time.”
Referring to the crisis in Yemen, he urged Ecuador Red Cross to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of Yemen in line with international objectives of this population.
