GABALA, Aug. 11 (MNA) – Ahmadi and Khedmati respectively came in 1st and 3rd at the women's 10m air rifle event bringing them two Olympic quotas for Rio 2016.

Elaheh Ahmadi and Najmeh Khedmati clinched the gold and bronze medals respectively in the 10m Air Rifle Women Finals at the Gabala Shooting Club during Day 3 of the ISSF World Cup Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun on August 10, 2015 in Gabala, Azerbaijan.

In the final round of the competition between 8 shooters, Elahe Ahmadi scored 207.8 point above all others and Binbin Zhang of the Peoples Republic of China followed her with 207.4 points winning the silver. The Third place was again for an Iranian where stood Najmeh Khedmati with 185.5 points.

The two Iranian shooting athletes secured their berths in the Olympic shooting competitions of Rio de Janeiro city of Brazil in 2016.

The ISSF World Cup Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun Azerbaijan 2015 started on Friday August 8 with 2,000 athletes from more than 100 countries and will run through August 15.
