TEHRAN, Aug. 11 (MNA) – The Islamic Republic will attend the first round of the World Taekwondo Grand Prix 2015 which is set to start on Friday in Moscow.

Four rounds of tournaments are supposed to be held for athletes seeking Olympic glory, where the first taekwondo tournament runs for three days in Moscow, with 249 athletes in 4 weight categories.

Iran National Taekwondo Team, including 7 athletes, heads to Moscow on Tuesday. Several teams from different countries are scheduled to arrive in Moscow on Aguest 10-12.

Shokraneh Izadi and Akram Khodabandeloo will compete in +67 kg and  -67 kg women’s weight categories this Friday, while Farzan Ashorzadeh and Masoud Hoji attend the -58 kg and -80 kg men’s weights categories.

The last competitions, held on Sunday, will include -68 kg for men and -57 kg for women, where Kimia Alizadeh, Alireza Nasr Azadani and Abolufazl Taghobui will be representing Iran.
