Along with resumption of Iran's oil industries, gas, and petrochemical activities, Bijan Zanganeh, Iran's Oil Minister and Daishiro Yamagiwa, Deputy of Trade and Industry of Japan, discussed approaches to resumption and development of economic and trade cooperation between the countries in the post-sanctions era.
Referring to Japan's significant and effective role in Iran's oil and gas industry before the sanctions, Zanganeh said, "we hope the country would regain its previous share in Iran's oil market during the new situation after removal of sanctions against Iran."
Pointing to the nuclear deal reached in Vienna, Daishiro Yamagiwa voiced pleasure over the agreement between Iran and 5+1 and expressed hope Iran and Japan would boost their partnership in field of energy.
