KAZAN, Aug. 07 (MNA) – Iranian Consulate General in Kazan and Tatarstan's Minister of Youth Affairs and Sport discussed cooperation in sports sphere.

Rasould Baghernejad and Vladimir Leonov held talks over promoting cooperation in the field of sports, between the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially West and East Azerbaijan Provinces, and Republic of Tatarstan.

In addition to presenting a report on the bilateral relations of the two countries in various political, economic and cultural fields during the meeting, Iranian representative expressed willingness to further enhance the cooperation on Sports Medicine cooperation, exchange of information and experience and the establishment of educational classes.

Vladimir Leonov, who is among swimmers of the Russian Swimming Federation, expressed satisfaction over Iran-Tatarstan bilateral ties in various fields, including sports, saying that his country is ready to establish sports cooperation in soccer, futsal, track and field, basketball, volleyball, wrestling and water polo with Iran.

Kazan has nine FINA standard swimming pools and 45 training swimming pools, which is a suitable place for the preparatory camps of the swimming teams.
