TEHRAN, Jul. 27 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived in the Holy City of Najaf on Monday morning.

Zarif's visit to Iraq comes in continuation of his regional tour after visits to Kuwait and Qatar on Sunday.

The Iranian foreign minister left Najaf for Karbala and then he will return to Najaf later today for pilgrimage and paying tribute to First Shia Imam Ali (AS) and meeting with senior Iraqi Shia clerics, including Ayatollah Ali Sistani.

Zarif will also depart to Baghdad on Monday to meet Iraqi President Fouad Massoum, Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi, Foreign Minister Ibrahim Jafari and Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jabouri to talk over the nuclear deal and important international, regional and bilateral issues.
