TEHRAN, Jul. 22 (MNA) – Leader's Advisor for International Affairs Ali Akbar Velayati asserted that Iran would neither trade its sovereignty nor abandon its national interests.

Talking to a live TV program on Iran’s nuclear deal Tuesday night, Iranian official said, “we will not sell out our territorial sovereignty in global markets. We will not exchange our national interests with anything.”

Appreciating Iran’s negotiating team, Velayati acknowledged the difficult task of the team, describing them as the most distinguishable and reputable negotiators.

The head of the Center for Strategic Research of Iran’s Expediency Council underlined that maintaining Iran’s sovereignty is the top priority and “we will never sell out our national interests.”

Pointing to the fatwa by the Leader, Velayati said Iran would not hesitate to manufacture any weapon other than nuclear arms and weapons of mass destruction like chemical weapons.

On regional issues, Velayati reaffirmed that Iran will continue its regional policies of supporting Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen to achieve the ultimate goal of annihilation of joint terrorist enemies.
