TEHRAN, Jul. 22 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Tuesday that Iran has a major role in fight against terrorism and extremism in the region.

During a meeting with visiting Switzerland Deputy Foreign Minister Yves Rossier, Zarif noted European governments' willingness to develop cooperation with Iran, especially in the field of economy. "We hope they would translate their decision into practice," Zarif added.

Outlining Iran's role in confrontation with extremism and terrorism in the region, Zarif highlighted Iran's readiness for interaction and cooperation with governments of the region, especially the neighboring states.

Pointing to conclusion of nuclear deal in Vienna on July 14, Yves Rossier, for his part, called for enhanced cooperation in the field of bilateral, regional and international affairs.
