TEHRAN, Jul. 21 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham on Monday denounced recent terrorist attacks carried out by Boko Haram militants in northeastern Nigeria.

Marzieh Afkham has strongly condemned the attacks in the past few days which led to the death of scores of Nigerian citizens.

She underlined that terrorism and extremism bore no humane and religious base and slaughter of innocent people, under any motive and b yany means, was always condemned.

On Friday, Boko Haram extremist group capped off the end of the holy month of Ramadan with a series of terror attacks including suicide bombings in Nigerian city of Gombe, killing scores of people, sparing not even the children.

The armed group has killed thousands in a six-year insurgency in the country's northeast.
