TEHRAN, Jul. 20 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Monday that those still talking about using military force against Iran even after the Vienna agreement are not fit for leading diplomatic positions.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif told IRNA correspondent on Monday that while the world has considered the July 14 nuclear agreement reached in Vienna as the triumph of diplomacy over war and violence, there were unfortunately a number of people who were still talking about the illegal and unsavory use of military force in order to reach their delusional objectives.

“It seems that these people cannot comprehend that the use of force for violating others’ rights is not an option but a dangerous and unwise temptation usually promoted by those who are unfit to hold diplomatic positions,” said Zarif.

The Iranian senior diplomat’s comments came as US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter said Iran deal does not prevent 'military option,' and that "we will utilize the military option [against Iran] if necessary."

The Pentagon chief who arrived in Tel Aviv on Sunday said he had no expectation of persuading Israeli leaders to drop their opposition to the Iran nuclear deal, but will instead stress that the agreement imposes no limits on what Washington can do to ensure the security of Israel and US Arab allies.

Iran and the 5+1 group of countries reached a conclusion on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in Vienna on July 14.

According to the text of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, Iran will be recognized by the United Nations as a nuclear power and will continue its peaceful uranium enrichment program.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who has been harshly critical of the agreement said the accord was “a historic mistake for the entire world."
