ANZALI, Jul. 17 (MNA) – The soccer club Malavn of Anzali named Ghalenoei as its manager for 2015-16 season of Iran Pro League.

Two weeks to the new season of Iran’s Persian Gulf Professional League, Malavn of Anzali club decided over its manager.

The club board of directors had a meeting on Thursday and picked Amir Ghalenoei as the coach. The club officials also talked Ghalenoei into working with Darioush Beheshti as his assistant.

Despite very good results with Sepahan and Tractor Sazi, Amir Ghalenoei had two poor seasons with Esteghlal of Tehran.

The blue giants Esteghlal finished 5th last season under Ghalenoei while they dropped one place this season to finish 6th and lost both Tehran derbies to arch-rival Persepolis.

For the first round of the competitions, Malavan are drawn to host the fourth top of the last season Zoubeahan of Isfahan in Anzali.  

The 15th season of Persian Gulf Professional League (IPL 2015–16) is the 45th season of the Iran's Football. Sepahan are the defending champions. The season features 14 teams from the 2014–15 Iran Pro League and two new teams promoted from the 2014–15 Azadegan League: Siah Jamegan as Group A champions and Foolad Novin as Group B champions. The league will start on 31 July 2015.
