TEHRAN, Jul. 14 (MNA) – Deputy Managing Director of Tavanir Company said on Monday that Iran generates 200 billion kilowatts electricity annually.

Gholamreza Khoushkholgh announced Iran, having 31 million subscribers for electricity, enjoys power plants capacity of 70,000 megawatts.

He said that peak hour electricity consumption was 41,000 megawatts last year, which has currently exceeded 50,000 megawatts.

The official said that 30 percent of subscribers of Tavanir Company are home subscriber, 12 percent agriculture, 30 percent industrial users and the rest is for public and other utilities.
