Iranian female shooter Mahlagha Jambozorg managed to strike 623.5 points and claim a gold medal at the women's 50m prone shooting competitions in South Korea’s southwestern city of Gwangju.
Athletes from South Korea and Thailand stood at second and third place.
The Iranian squad also consisted of Maryam Talebi who stood at 34th place with 613.3 points and Najmeh Khedmati who took the 49th place with 601.9 points.
Najmeh Khedmati had snatched a gold medal on Sunday after scoring 206.6 in the P2 (women’s 10m Air Pistol).
On Monday, the Iranian squad, consisting of Maryam Talebi, Najmeh Khedmati and Mahlagha Jambozorg, with the total points of 1,851.4 gave Iran a third place finish and grabbed a bronze medal.
With another bronze medal claimed on Sunday in the women's 10m air rifle team competitions, the total number of medals for Iran has reached four which places the country at the tenth standing of medal distributions.
The 2015 Summer Universiade, which marks the 28th edition of the tournament, opened in the South Korean city of Gwangju on July 3, and will run until July 14.
Iranians sportsmen and women comprising 83 athletes are vying for medals in artistic gymnastics, soccer, volleyball, taekwondo, shooting, archery, athletics and rowing.
