TEHRAN, Jul. 07 (MNA) – An Iranian official told Mehr News about correspondences made by Germans and Italians to visit Tehran.

To explore the potentials for trade with Iran ahead of a final nuclear deal between Iran and 5+1 group of countries, many business people around the world are en route Tehran in a race to be the first grabbing the opportunity.

Iran’s Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Hossein Esfahbodi told Mehr News that the exhibitions recently held in Tehran have been eagerly welcomed by foreigners but there are still some international giants waiting for the Iran-Sextet deal to be finalized.

The official also recounted that following the correspondences of the last weeks, a senior German delegation is now coordinating with Iran’s Embassy in Berlin and German Embassy in Tehran to set a near-future visit to Tehran to meet with Iranian traders and businesspeople.

He also told us about a letter of recent days in which Italians have asked to send a delegation of 300 businesspeople and traders to Tehran eying the investment and trade opportunities in post-sanctions Iran.

Esfahbodi who is also the Managing Director of Iran’s Trade Exhibition Company approved that there have been American representatives in recent Tehran-held exhibitions while dismissing any formal relations between the officials over the issue.

Earlier in April, Switzerland’s business representatives headed by the former Swiss Ambassador to Iran Livia Leu, travelled to Iran to explore the potential for trade with the country ahead of a final nuclear deal between Tehran and 5+1 group of countries.

Several delegations from Europe and Asia have so far visited the country to study the potentials for investing in the country’s market and more are expected in capital Tehran in the near future.
