Brigadier General Houshang Yari boasted the preparedness of the force under his command saying that Islamic Republic of Iran Army Aviation has adapted itself to the current threats of the region.
Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the Iranian Army ceremony to pay tribute to the recently found corpses of the Iranian MIAs of the Iran-Iraq war the General reassured that the Islamic Republic of Iran Army Aviation forces are in their highest combat readiness and alertness due to the supports provided by the superiors.
The ceremony of the high-ranking commanders of Iran’s Ground Forces of the Army was dubbed as “strengthening bonds with the holy causes of the martyred warriors” and came after the massive funeral procession in Tehran on June 16, 2015 which witnessed millions of Iranians paying homage to their martyred fellow Iranians.
Among the participants in the ceremony were Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan, the commander of the Iranian Army’s Ground Forces, and his deputies.
Islamic Republic of Iran Army Aviation (IRIAA) is the aviation leg of the Iranian Army Ground Forces providing mainly helicopter and close range supports.
