TEHRAN, Jun. 08 (MNA) – Iranian deputy FM said Iran sees no time pressure in reaching a final nuclear agreement with the 5+1.

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for European and American Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi made the remark in a meeting with Chairman of the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs Elmar Brok in Tehran on Sunday.

He added that the nuclear negotiations with the 5+1 group of countries would reach a result by June 30 deadline provided that the other side refrained from coming up with excessive demands.

Urging the negotiators to remain committed to previously reached agreements, the Iranian diplomat said the Islamic Republic would proceed with the negotiations with seriousness and all-out efforts to ensure a final deal.

Elsewhere, Takht-Ravanchi stressed the importance of mutual visits by Iranian delegates and the European Parliament, deeming them effective in improving ties and mutual understanding among the countries.

He further expressed Iran’s readiness to cement cooperation with Europe in the fight against terrorism and extremism, regional security, commercial exchanges and energy supply.

Brok, for his part, expressed EU Parliament’s interest in boosting relations with Iran and hoped the negotiators would reach a final agreement over Tehran’s nuclear program by the announced deadline.

He also added an agreement over the nuclear program would open a new chapter in Iran and Europe’s relations in all areas.

Elmar Brok and his accompanying EU delegation arrived in Tehran on Saturday for a two-day visit.

The EU delegation met senior Iranian politicians including parliament speaker Ali Larijani and Masoumeh Ebtekar, one of Iran's vice presidents and head of Environmental Protection Organization.
