On Thursday evening, Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehghan attended the ceremony to open a new mosque in Qeshm, the Iranian island on Persian Gulf, and commented on the recent developments in nuclear talks.
The General rejected the idea of posing pressure on Iran to gain benefits in talks, and added that the negotiating team does not accept any bullying in the course of talks.
He held that finalizing a fair comprehensive deal will benefit all sides of the talks and as a result Iran is resolute in reaching a deal, however, putting Iran’s interests at stake is the red line.
Dehghan boasted Iran’s top security in the region and attributed it to the self-reliance of Iran’s defense industry which will pave the way for progress in other fields of development.
The top General blamed the supporters of Takfiri terrorists who secure the interests of the US and Israel in destabilizing the Middle East.
He also reassured the neighboring countries that Iran backs them in fight with the terrorist groups as “the power of Iranian security and military forces is definitely at such a level that it can neutralize every move by the terrorists.”
Iranian Minister reiterated Iran’s policy of peace, and added that Iran will continue to support the countries of the region in dealing with regional problem and “there is no need for meddling cross-regional countries in resolving the intra-regional issues.”
