TEHRAN, May 26 (MNA) – President Hassan Rouhani has said the nuclear negotiating team is taking firmer steps each day to bring the nation closer to obtaining its rights.

President Hassan Rouhani made the remark today among the people of Tehran’s western counties of Shahriar, Malard and Qods at the 18th leg of his provincial tours.

President Rouhani highlighted in his speech that the current issues facing the country would undoubtedly be overcome with people’s resilience and collective efforts.

He stressed the need for unity and peaceful coexistence both in the country and among regional states, saying the Islamic Republic should serve as a model of unity and constructive interaction to the other regional countries that are currently gripped with various conflicts.

On the issue of social welfare, the president maintained the government has taken considerable steps to overcome economic recession, and will continue the path of progress in spite of financial difficulties.

In the scientific arena, President Rouhani noted the country ranked first among regional states.

He further touched upon the ongoing nuclear talks between Iran and the 5+1, and stated that Iran’s negotiating team is taking firmer and more serious steps each day to become closer to the realization of the nation’s rights. 

During his provincial visit, Iran's president is scheduled to inaugurate a number of development projects, hold meetings with the counties’ officials and attend a press conference.
