TEHRAN, May 23 (MNA) – Iran’s world-class volleyball team crushed Czech 3-0 on Friday in a friendly match in Ceske Budejovice to prepare for 2015 FIVB Volleyball World League.

Iran, which is preparing for the 26th edition of the annual men's international tournament, 2015 FIVB Volleyball World League, won a crushing victory overt  the host 25-18, 25-21, 25-15 on Friday in Ceske Budejovice, a city south of the capital city Prague.

The Serbian coach Slobadan Kovac pitted Saeid Marouf, Mohammad Mousavi, Saman Faezi, Shahram Mahmoudi, Abdolreza Alizadeh, Farhad Qaemi, and Mojtaba Mirza-Babajanzadeh as the starting lineup in the warm-up match.

Mahmoudi got the highest points, 16, for Iran in the three-set friendly match.

The two sides will be playing in their second match on Saturday.

The 2015 FIVB Volleyball World League, attended by 32 countries, kicked off on May 16 and will run through July 19.

Iran, the United States, Poland, and Russia are in Pool B of Group 1.

In its first two matches, Iran will take on the United States in Galen Center of Los Angeles on May 30 and 31.

Iran finished fourth in the 2014 FIVB Volleyball World League.
