Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani highlighted West’s failure to dissuade Iran from its legitimate right to have peaceful nuclear technology in a meeting with visiting Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Communications and Tourism Rasim Liaich, IRNA reported.
Larijani, pointing to the excellent relations the two countries enjoy, emphasized the need for closer parliamentary ties by deploying capabilities for the development of friendly relations between Iran and Serbia in all fields, especially in the field of parliamentary ties.
“Iran has a positive outlook towards the expansion of comprehensive ties with the Balkans, including Serbia,” Larijani stressed, adding that Iran’s Parliament supports the growing trend of Iran-Serbia relations.
The Serbian top official, for his part, voiced his country’s willing for closer ties with Iran which is considered an important country both in the region and in the world.
Hailing Iran’s proactive role in contribution to peace and stability in the Middle East, Serbian deputy prime minister reiterated that terrorism poses a great threat to the entire globe and it needs collective cooperation to encounter menaces of terrorism.
