In a meeting with South African Foreign Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani asserted that the success of nuclear negotiations depends on honesty and seriousness of allparties invloved.
Larijani and Maite Nkoana-Mashabane discussed ways of expansion of cooperation in various fields, removing obstacles on the way of increasing economic and trade cooperation and regional issues including the fight against terrorism.
Pointing to the fall of apartheid regime, Larijani said Iran has always welcomed friendly bilateral relations with South Africa in all areas.
He stressed the need for removing impediments on the way of increasing economic and trade cooperation, saying that settlement of financial and banking problems would develop trade and business in par with the existing satisfactory political relations.
The South African minister, for her part, appreciated Iran for supporting her country in the post-apartheid era and highlighted that Pretoria recognizes Tehran's influential status in the region and the world and seeks comprehensive and constructive expansion of bilateral ties.
Pointing to the crisis in Yemen in the wake of Saudi-led aggression, she slammed exploitation of force to settle differences and suggested diplomacy as the only solution.
