TEHRAN, May. 03 (MNA) – Iran's minister of science, research, and technology has emphasized on development of research and scientific ties with China.

Meeting with head of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Iran's Minister of Sceince, Research and Technology Dr. Mohammad Farhadi pointed to Iran-China positive economic and political relations and declared the tendency of the ministry to boost and reinforce ties with Chinese universities and research centers.

He also underlined establishing Chinese language courses in Iran and developing Persian language learning courses and seats in China as a possible field of cooperation between Iran Ministry of Science and Chinese Academy of Sciences.

“Iranian universities are among the outstanding regional and international centers and we are keen to improve relations with China on fields of science, research and technology," Farhadi emphasized.

Bai Chunli, highlighting the importance of Iran-China scientific ties, referred to the high capacity of Chinese Academy of Science and its affiliated bodies to work in partnership with Iran.

The sides agreed on establishing a joint workgroup to specify the fields of cooperation within the frame of an agreement.

The Chinese Academy of Science is the national academy for the natural sciences of the People's Republic of China. It is an institution of the State Council of China, functioning as the national scientific thinktank and academic governing body, providing advisory and appraisal services on issues stemming from the national economy, social development, and science and technology progress.
