MONTREUX, Mar. 03 (MNA) – Following Iran-US nuclear talks in the Swiss city of Montreux, Iran’s head of AEOI Ali Akbar Salehi and US Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz held a bilateral meeting this morning.

According to the report, Ali Akbar Salehi head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) and Ernest Moniz held a round of bilateral negotiations on Monday morning local time prior to talks between the two countries’ foreign ministers.

These negotiations follow up on technical issues related to the nuclear talks. Last week, Salehi and Moniz held three rounds of technical meetings. It has been said the two sides had made considerable progress in technical issues.

Also, expert talks between Iran and the US are taking place simultaneously with talks at the deputy and ministerial levels.

According to what Iranian FM Mohammad Javad Zarif has highlighted, one of the most important points of discussion during this round of talks is the complete removal of anti-Iranian sanctions.

“The Islamic Republic has sat down at the negotiating table with honesty and will continue the talks until the Iranian nation’s nuclear rights are fully achieved. Iran will refuse to succumb to the excessive demands and illogical stances of the opposing side,” Zarif had asserted today.
