A Few Cubic Meters of Love, which recently won the Golden Camel Award at 7th edition of Jaipur International Film Festival in India, will participate at international film festivals in other countries including Canada and Czech.
“While making the movie, we did our best to meet the objectives set by the film including conveying the message of altruism to other countries, Navid Mahmoudi, producer of the Iranian-Afghan film A Few Cubic Meters of Love said, adding that they did not consider international awards and achievements.
Fortunately, he said, this film could well be seen in the international division, and beside it won various awards as well.
Jamshid Mahmoudi’s debut film, A Few Cubic Meters of Love narrates the story set somewhere in the outskirts of Tehran, where a small factory illegally employs Afghan asylum seekers, who live with their families in old containers or modest shacks in nearby shanty towns. Saber, a young Iranian worker, secretly meets Marona, daughter of Abdolsalam, an Afghan worker. A love story unfolds.
