TEHRAN, Jan. 20 (MNA) – Chairman of Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission has said Israeli criminal acts in southern Syria are aimed at weakening resistance against terrorism and occupation.

In the wake of Israeli air strike in the Syrian province of Quneitra, Alaeddin Borujerdi expressed his condolence in a letter to the Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah Movement Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah and honored the martyrdom of a number of Hezbollah combatants.

He expressed sorrow over the martyrdom of a number of Lebanese Hezbollah members, including Jihad Mughniyah, the son of prominent martyred commander Imad Mughniyah in the terrorist air raid of the Zionist regime in southern Syria province of Quneitra.

"This heinous crime is contradictory to the international law and regulations being repeated in countless occasions in order to weaken the resistance movement against terrorism and occupation in the region,” Boroujerdi stressed.

He expressed sympathy with the Lebanese nation and families of the victims of the Hezbollah martyrs in the attack.

Several Hezbollah members as well as an Iranian Revolutionary Guards commander were assassinated on Sunday when an Israeli helicopter fired two missiles targetingtheir vehicles in the Syrian province of Quneitra near the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
