TEHRAN, Jan. 08 (MNA) – An ancient scrolled Quran belonging to Qajar Dynasty era will be unveiled in Niavaran Cultural and Historical Complex.

This Quran has been written on a paper with 5.5m length and in a particular calligraphy called 'Qobar' (Persian for dut) whose name indicates its delicate and tiny structure.

The book has undertaken different preservation and repair process through microscopic and laboratory studies to examine its structure and the material to preserve it.  

Documentation, paper acidity, organic adhesives, color test, biologic pollution, reconstruction, cleaning and dust removing are some of the operations done to preserve and repair the book.

The book will go on public display on 6-19 February in Niavaran Palace. The visit would be possible from 9 AM to 16 PM through the week except for Tuesdays.
