TEHRAN, Dec. 14 (MNA) – Maziar Miri’s ‘Painting Pool’ will be showcased at 2015 Victoria Film Festival in Canada.

Iranian director Maziar Miri's acclaimed film Painting Pool is a 2013 Iranian drama film which centers upon the interpersonal dynamics between a set of mentally challenged parents and their child.

So far, the film has been enjoying several screenings and awards at various international film festivals. It has been screened at the 18th Busan International Film Festival, the the 2014 Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) in China and won the Best Feature Film Award at the 2nd Sharjah International Children's Film Festival in 2014.

It has also won the UNESCO Award at the 2013 Asia Pacific Screen Awards for its “outstanding contribution to the promotion and preservation of cultural diversity through film.”

Since 1995 the Victoria Film Festival has been the centre for film on Vancouver Island. The Festival aims at encouraging artistic innovation and creativity while providing access for a broad audience segment.  It showcases over 100 feature film titles, short films and documentaries.

The 2015 Victoria Film Festival will run from February 6-15 in Victoria, B.C., Canada.
