TEHRAN, Feb. 23 (MNA) – MP Arsalan Fat’hipur said on Wednesday that at the approval of the Majlis Economic Committee, Aras Free Zone’s limits comprise of Iran’s borders with Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic, Armenia, and the southern Azerbaijan.

The limits of Aras Free Zone have been also approved by the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee and it will be considered as Iran’s largest free zone, if finally ratified by the Parliament.

Aras Free Zone will include certain parts of Iranian provinces of East Azarbaijan, West Azarbaijan, and Ardebil.

The draft for establishment of Aras Free Zone was ratified by the Majlis in 2003, however, expansion of the activities requires determination of the limits. The said free zone will launch activities if the determined limits are finally ratified by the Majlis.
