TEHRAN, Nov. 17 (MNA) – Iranian scientists have developed an amphibious aircraft that can take off and land on both land and water.

Ali-Mohammad Khanmohammadi, spokesman of the seventh International Iran Kish Air Show, told Mehr News that a domestically-manufactured amphibious aircraft is to be unveiled at this international exhibition from November 18-21.

While noting that this aircraft is able to take off and land on both land and water, he added, “it can move on water at the speed of 20kmph. This floatplane can be used both for transferring passengers or troops.”

The Kish Development and investment company fully supported by Kish Free Zone Organization will be holding the 7th edition of the International Iran Kish Air Show with the cooperation of Civil Aviation Organization of Islamic (CAO-IRI) from 18-21 Nov.  2014 on Kish Island.

A large number of domestic companies active in the aviation, aerospace, airlines and the other related industries and universities as well as international companies from Sweden, Germany, South Korea, Russia, France, Italy, South Africa and Malaysia will showcase their latest aviation and aeronautical achievements in the four-day exhibition.
