Ayatollah Movahedi Kermani said on Friday that domination system had spared no effort to fight against Islam because “it defends humanity; but these slaughterers veto any statement supporting the oppressed.”
He stressed that recent developments in Iraq was not a sectarian strife; rather, “it is crime against humanity.”
“ISIL violations and extremist acts in the region aim at stopping Islam with the aid of domination system, while this ISIL is a threat to global peace and security,” added Movahedi Kermani.
He held that those who supported terrorism in the region were those who claimed supporting democracy; “however, none of Islamic or non-Islamic organizations have taken a serious position against ISIL,” he added.
Movahedi Kermani called the Organization of the Islamic Conference, Non-Aligned Movement members, Arab League, UN General Assembly, UN Security Council and humanitarian organizations for condemnation of terrorist acts by ISIL in Iraq.
Tehran Friday Prayer imam said that West supported these terrorists to secure its interests in Iraq’s national wealth and as a market for the Western weapons and military equipment.
He believed that ISIL would be defeated soon by “public support for military campaign along with ISIL internal row.”
He expressed gratitude to the Shiite marja (source of emulation) who issued a decree permitting jihad against the terrorists in Iraq and added that Sunni clerics also played important roles to fight terrorism in Iraq.
