TEHRAN, May 26 (MNA) – Iran’s FM and EU’s Foreign Policy Chief will resume nuclear negotiations today, Monday in Istanbul to review nuclear talks’ progress.

A source affiliated to Iran nuclear negotiators who spoke on condition of anonymity had already told Mehr News that “Zarif and Ashton will review negotiations’ progress (if any) on Tehran nuclear program today, and also Monday in Istanbul.”

The source added that the Istanbul talks on Monday and Tuesday would be informal and asserted that “Iran’s foreign minister will leave Istanbul to Algeria on Tuesday.”

 Negotiators had already decided to hold talks ahead of the next round of Iran-Powers negotiations on Tehran nuclear program in Vienna.

Iran and the group 5 plus one – US, UK, Russian, China, France plus Germany ended the 4th round of nuclear talks in Vienna while much progress was achieved. Before the last Vienna talks both sides negotiations were supposed to embark on drafting the final agreement on Iran nuclear program.

Iran and world powers had held three rounds of expert-level and political-level nuclear talks in Swiss capital of Geneva and in Austrian capital of Vienna. Talks were aimed at finding a comprehensive solution to Tehran nuclear issue between Iran and P5+1.

European parliament elections are being held across the EU region and Catherine Ashton will end mission by the elections results out. Catherine Ashton has been the representative and head of group 5+1 in Iran nuclear negotiations.
