On the second day of 11th Cabinet meeting among the public of Zabol, Rouhani asserted that “the road to progress and solving the problems entails unity, integration, friendship, and Islamic fraternity,” addressing a population of tribes of the Sistan and Baluchestan.
He asserted that “all Shiites and Sunnis of the province are brothers and are living with solidarity under the unified banner of Islam and Iran,” adding that “God, Islam, Prophet and his household require us to live together with fraternity and kindness.”
Rouhani asserted that security along with unity and integration is pivotal to progress and success of Sistan and Baluchestan.
Rouhani also pointed to his recent visit to Afghanistan, where “both sides discussed the waters in Hirmand, Hamoun, and Hariroud rivers, and Afghan authorities promised to act according to international conventions on the sharing of waters of these rivers with Iran.”
Commenting on the government’s plans for Zabol, Rouhani told that two 100 mwh wind power plants would be operative in the city, and expressed hope that they would start operation in his government. “In the plan, we will exploit the potentials of private sector,” president said.
On the conditions in the border free special markets, Rouhani told that the minister of the interior visited the Mirjaveh border regions where border markets were closed or half-closed. “We believed that these markets should be revived to boost the local trade,” he said.
On the environmental plan on stabilizing moving sand dunes, president said that the government had plans to stabilize sand in more than 2500 acres of the lands of the province, which would improve the development in the province.
Rouhani also pointed to extension of railway in the borders of the province to connect to line in Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and China. “The plan will begin in Chabahar and will connect Zahedan to international line, and the line is now underway in China,” he said.
In his last night meeting with province’s entrepreneurs, he said that the Development Fund would provide financial credits to who invested in the province with 4 per cent discount in interests. “To encourage investment, two years will be added to repayment time for the province,” Rouhani asserted.
Rouhani predicted that the rich mines of the province would be explored by allocation of 8 exploratory groups and adding to the exploration budgets. ‘By the end of the year (March 21 2015), we hope that these explorers will have good news to the public,” he said.
